भारतीय परम्परा में शिक्षा केवल सूचनात्मक बौद्धिक सम्पन्नता ही नहीं देती वह हमें स्व से ऊपर उठ कर समष्टि के हितों की संरक्षा का दायित्व बोध भी देती है । शिक्षा संस्कृति का अंग ही नहीं, सांस्कृतिक जीवन और मानव मूल्यों की नींव भी है । संस्कृति और मानव मूल्य दो अलग चेतनाएँ नही हैं। मूल्य आधारित शिक्षा का अर्थ है- उसे निर्मम व्यावसायिकता से अलग करना और स्वतंत्रता एकता बंधुता जैसे मूल्यों से जोड़ना क्योंकि इन्हीं मूल्यों से दूसरे सकारात्मक मूल्य निकलते है ।

शिक्षा-प्रशिक्षण में मूल्यों की इस संरक्षा में हमें भारतीय चिन्तन परम्परा के ’सत्यम शिवम सुन्दरम' को स्वीकारना होगा ।

शिक्षा का मूल उद्देश्य है- ज्ञान और उसका प्रसार। ब्रहम के रूपक द्वारा उपनिषदों में इसे स्पष्ट करते हुए कहा गया है कि ब्रहम के तीन रूप है- सत्यं ज्ञानं अनन्तं। इसी के अनुरूप मानव आत्मा के नीचे तीन रूप है- सत्य यादि हम हैं, ज्ञान यानि हम जानते हैं और अनन्त यानि हम व्यक्त करते हैं। पहले में अस्तित्व रक्षा की आकांक्षा और चेष्टा, दूसरे में ज्ञानर्जन की जिज्ञासा और तीसरे में अपने अन्तर में प्रकाश की कामना अर्थात् मनुष्य के मन में ऐश्वर्य का प्रकाश। लेकिन क्या ऐसा हो पा रहा है क्या समाज की नयी बौध अपने सामाजिक राष्ट्रीय और मानवीय दायित्वों के प्रति सजग है ।
इन जिज्ञासाओं के सकारात्मक उत्तर अभी मुश्किल से मिलते हैं या नहीं मिलते, तो निश्चित है कि हमारे यहाँ अभी शिक्षा का संस्कार अधूरा है। इन्हीं शब्दों अर्थों के आलोक या अंधकार में युवा शिक्षित समाज शिक्षा शिक्षक शिष्य से निर्मित आज की संस्थिति कविता रूपक में कुछ इस तरह बयां हो सकती है –

फूलों के हाथ
हाथ में हथियार आ गये
हम घर में थे
और
घर में बाजार आ गये
खुशियों थी
पर मिले ही नहीं
उड़ती भला ये कैसे
घर में नहीं था कुछ तो
त्यौहार आ गये।

इन्हीं अवधारणाओं और मूल्यों पर आधारित शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में निरन्तर कार्यरत यह काॅलेज समाज को नयी दिशा देने हेतु अग्रसर है, और हमें आशा है कि हमारा यह प्रयास समाज को दिशा दिखाने में अवश्य सफल होगा।

Secretary's Message

It is firmly believed that the quality of teachers in educational institutions determines the eventual quality of education. The role of colleges of education in preparing high quality teachers i.e., therefore, imperative. The teacher for the 21st century should have the ability to ensure cognitive and effective development of the students and create in them a value system which is a mixture of time tested values, nationalistic and secular traditions and scientific temper. It is an ardors task and cannot be completed without high quality teacher educators which is therefore the need of the hour.

It is gratifying to note that Surajmal Agarwal B.Ed. Kanya Mahavidyalay has undertaken to develop multifarious skills among the trainee teachers as well as the teacher educators. The college has taken notable strides in the direction of empowering stake holders in the use of ICTs and sharpening their communicative skills. With inclusive education in mind, the preparing of teachers for treating children with special needs has become a well regulated programme in the college. Side by side, emphasis teaching effectiveness are going hand in hand. I have not the slighter doubt that the college will continue to play its leading role in the above areas. The launch of the college website would go a long way in highlighting its multi-dimensional activities and achievements.
