SAPKM College of Nursing is a unit of SAPKM Institutes , under the sponsorship of Surajmal Trust. It is recognized by INC and is affiliated to HNBMU . The college offers basic B.Sc. Nursing programme , GNM, and ANM Nursing programme.

 

Departments

This Department is the most primary and essential department. Here undergraduate students are taught the basics of Nursing Science & Nursing Arts. The students are given practical insights wtih hand-on experience that incorporates biological and behavioral sciences. The Fundamental Nursing Laboratory is where students get a practical orientation of various nursing procedures under the supervision of qualified teachers.

 This department prepares students of all nursing programmes, to undertake the socially conscious task of providing healthcare to both rural and urban communities focussing on, preventive health care at Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels. Students are taught to recognize the importance of promotion of health and prevention of diseases. Students are oriented to the National Health Policies, protocols and technical know-how of the entire 'Health Care Delivery Systems', including Modern, Alternative and Holistic Health Care. Experienced faculty provide theoretical and practical orientation to students.

 This Department focuses on the care of women from adolescence through their elderly stages of life. The Department emphasizes concepts and care of women with diseases of reproductive system. The major focus is on 'Women's Reproductive Health and Safe Motherhood.' The services are extended to rural and urban community populations, coordinated with the Department of Community Health Nursing.

 This Department enables students to learn the art and science of caring for well and sick children. Students get hands-on experience on preventive health techniques, health assessment, diagnostic test procedures and medical & surgical treatments related to nursing care.

This Department introduces students to various aspects of disease conditions that enable them to diagnose patients' problems, plan nursing care that can enhance recovery. Students are also taught skills in handling life threatening situations and to independently operate sophisticated equipments such as ECG machines, Ventilators, Breathing devices and monitors used in critical care units. The present day emphasis on Geriatric Health care is given special attention.

 This Department teaches students the essentials of mental health and ill health. Its emphasis is on 'Sound Mind in Sound Body'. The services are extended to rural and urban community populations, coordinated with the Department of Community Health Nursing.

Course

  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • Minimum education: 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
  • Student shall be medically fit.
  • Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks.
  • Student shall be admitted once in a year.

  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
  • The minimum educational requirements shall be 10 + 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY passing out from recognized Board.
  • Student shall be medically fit.
  • Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National Institute of Open School.
  • Student shall be admitted once in a year.

  • Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV.
  • Minimum education:
    • 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks.
    • 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
    • 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.
    • Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
  • Student shall be medically fit.
  • Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.
  • Student shall be admitted once in a year.
